They would not be turning Dragon Age: Origins into an MMO they would be creating an MMO in the Dragon Age universe. One excample is the way you different choices change the world, thats a very important part of DAO, i would you add the destruction of the dalish camp to a MMO? If you want a fantasy MMO, get WOW. DAO is about the fanatsy story and the fantasy character and its also about a fairly limited but strong person gallery, that would be hard to catch in a MMO and basically losing the point with DAO. What you basically get if you turn DAO as MMO would just be DAA with a million players and just another MMO. That's the kind of stuff that made me a Bioware fan, and I was sad when DA:O didn't have it. The community was closer than an MMO, there was more variety, tons of user made content. all with no more than 75 players at a time. If anything, I would love to see them set up the same kind of multi-player that they had (or at least made possible) in NWN. I agree for the most part with the above post, I'm not really a fan of MMOs, and don't believe Dragon Age would transition well into one in the slightest. Dragon is is one of my favourite games in years, and I don't want it to fall. They might be a passing phase in gaming, like many other phases, and they might enable publishers to mint money, but nonetheless they are a bane.more often than not their design is simple and shallow and nothing more than mindless button mashing, and that does no good to the development of games in general in terms of creativity.
Won't want this topic to become a debate spot for pro and anti MMO people, but I simply have to say, that I certainly hope that a Dragon Age MMO never comes out. I would prefer a normal game, but wouldn't mind an MMO (however, Bioware is looking to make a Mass Effect MMO at the moment). contribs) I am usually against MMOs, since they seem to lack a certain edge that the best RPGs have, but I actually think a DA one would be good.

It has the lore and already has a lot of the job classes and spells and armor. There will be no second request to behave. Keep your comments civil as there are ways to politely discuss something that you may not like. This is a topic that gets heated whenever it is discussed about any game.
